Interac Casino Deposits in Canada: Eligibility, Limits and Bank Requirements
An Interac casino deposit is a payment from your own bank account, so two sets of rules apply: your bank’s and the casino’s. Interac says each financial institution sets its own limit on how much you can send by Interac e-Transfer, and that once a casino has accepted an e-Transfer deposit it cannot be reversed. The casino sets the minimum and maximum: among the sites we checked on October 19 and 20, 2026, minimums ran from C$5 at PlayNow.com to C$30 at Wildsino, and maximums reached C$10,000 at bet365 and Casino Days in Ontario. Most casinos do not charge for Interac deposits; some say your bank or Interac processing may.

Who can deposit with Interac?
You need an account at a bank or credit union that offers Interac e-Transfer. Interac says the service works at more than 250 participating financial institutions. On the casino side, the account must be yours: Ontario’s standards require deposits to be authorized by a financial services provider, and operators such as Betty (Ontario) require the name on the casino account to match the payment account.
Age and location rules come from the province, not from Interac. In Ontario you must be 19 or older and physically in the province to play on a regulated site; in Alberta, 18 and physically in Alberta.
What limits apply to an Interac deposit?
Three limits stack:
- Your bank’s e-Transfer limit. Interac says there are limits on how much you can send, each financial institution sets its own, and you should ask your bank or credit union for the figure.
- The casino’s minimum and maximum. Examples from the operators’ own pages:
- bet365 (Ontario): C$10 to C$10,000 per Interac deposit.
- Casino Days (Ontario): C$20 to C$10,000.
- PlayOJO (Ontario): C$10 minimum.
- Jackpot City and Spin Casino (Ontario): C$10 minimum.
- PlayNow.com (British Columbia): C$5 minimum for any method.
- Loto-Québec (lotoquebec.com): C$20 minimum.
- HeroSpin and Wildsino: C$25 to C$9,000 and C$30 to C$9,000, on their payments pages for Canada in CAD.
- Any limit you set yourself. Regulated Ontario operators must offer deposit or spend limits, and a limit you set in the account overrides the casino’s maximum.
If your bank’s limit is lower than the casino’s maximum, the bank’s figure is the one that counts.
How long does an Interac deposit take?
Usually minutes, sometimes longer. bet365 (Ontario) lists Interac deposits as instant. Casino Days (Ontario) gives a range from instant to 1 hour to 1 business day. PlayNow.com warns that a first Interac e-Transfer may be held for up to 72 hours by a bank security check. If you plan to play on a particular day, make the first deposit a few days earlier. For comparison, Loto-Québec says an electronic bill payment deposit takes 3 to 5 days, so Interac is the quicker route there. If a deposit has not arrived within the time the casino states, contact support with the reference before you send a second one.
Are there fees?
Check two places, because the casino and the bank charge separately:
- The casino. bet365 (Ontario) says it applies no fees to Interac deposits. Loto-Québec lists Interac deposits without fees. PlayOJO (Ontario) says it does not charge for payments, but Interac processing may add a small fee.
- The bank. iGaming Ontario says each financial institution has its own rules and fees for gaming transactions. Interac adds that cancelling an e-Transfer before it is accepted is done in online banking and your institution may charge a cancellation fee.
AGCO standards require Ontario operators to disclose all account fees before a deposit or withdrawal, so a fee charged by the casino should be visible in the cashier before you confirm.
Can you use cryptocurrency instead?
Not on regulated provincial sites. Ontario’s standards say cryptocurrency is not legal tender and shall not be accepted as a deposit, and the Alberta iGaming Corporation says approved Alberta operators may not accept it. On those sites, Interac, cards and bank transfers are the routes in Canadian dollars.
Does an Interac deposit mean you can withdraw by Interac?
No. A casino that takes Interac deposits does not have to pay withdrawals by Interac. PlayNow.com and Loto-Québec take Interac deposits but pay out to a bank account; Luxury Casino in Ontario lists Interac under deposits only, processed by PayDirect Billing Solutions. Our Interac withdrawal matrix shows which casinos pay out by Interac, and our page on deposit methods that cannot receive withdrawals explains why.
Several other brands show an Interac logo in their footer, including JeetCity, NorthSpin and WishKing, but their cashier, where limits are listed, opens after login.
What happens if a deposit goes wrong?
Once an Interac e-Transfer deposit is accepted, Interac says it cannot be reversed. If the money left your bank and did not appear in the casino, contact the casino’s support with the transfer reference first; for a regulated Ontario site, iGaming Ontario says players should work directly with the operator before escalating. If the transfer is still pending and not yet accepted, you can cancel it in online banking, possibly for a fee.
What we could not confirm
- Interac deposit limits at BetRivers and 888casino in Ontario: not stated on the public pages we read.
- Interac deposit details at JeetCity, NorthSpin and WishKing: their cashiers open after login.
Before your first Interac deposit
Ask your bank for your e-Transfer limit and any fees. In the casino cashier, read the Interac minimum, maximum and any stated fee, and check whether Interac also appears under withdrawals. Send a small first deposit, keep the transfer reference, and confirm it appears in your casino balance before sending more.
