How Long Do Casino Withdrawals Usually Take? Reading Each Status

On the casino pages we read, “instant” and “fast” describe one step, usually the payment after the casino approves your request, not the time from your click to your bank. Before that, most casinos hold a request in a pending or review stage: one business day at 888casino (Ontario), 48 hours at Luxury Casino and Yukon Gold (Ontario), up to 72 hours at Amazon Slots (Ontario), and an internal review of up to 3 to 5 days at BetMGM (Ontario). A request that has been pending since yesterday is usually still in that first stage. Across the casinos we checked on October 19 and 20, 2026, the full cycle stated ranges from a few hours to about two weeks, depending on the casino and the method.

What does each withdrawal status mean?

Casinos use different words, but the stages are the same. bet365 (Ontario) publishes the clearest set of labels:

  • Processing Withdrawal: the request has been received but bet365 has not processed it yet.
  • Withdrawal left bet365: bet365 has processed it and sent it.
  • Failed to send: the payment did not go out.
  • Withdrawal Returned: the payment was rejected after processing, and the money is back in your balance.
  • Canceled: the request was cancelled.

Other casinos add a stage before processing. 888casino (Ontario) calls it “awaiting process” and keeps every request there for one business day, during which you can cancel. Luxury Casino and Yukon Gold call it “pending” and keep it for 48 hours; Amazon Slots keeps it up to 72 hours for screening. In all three, you can reverse the request during that stage.

How long does each stage usually take?

CasinoPending or review (stated)Delivery after approval (stated)
bet365 (Ontario)Interac process time 1 to 4 hoursInterac Autodeposit sends it automatically once processed
PlayOJO (Ontario)Aims to process within 11 hoursNot separately stated
LeoVegas (Ontario)Within 24 hours once ID is in, at most 5 working daysBank transfer about 5 business days
888casino (Ontario)1 business day awaiting processInterac 1 to 3 business days
Luxury Casino and Yukon Gold (Ontario)48 hours pending, processed next business dayCard 3 working days, e-wallet 1 to 3, CAD EFT 2 to 3, bank transfer 6 to 10
BetMGM (Ontario)Up to 3 to 5 daysInterac within 24 hours
BetRivers (Ontario)Estimated 3 business daysNot stated
JeetCityUsually within 48 hours (FAQ)Most methods right after processing; some up to 7 working days
NorthSpinPending up to 48 hoursNot stated

All of these are the casinos’ own statements. Ontario’s standards require payment as soon as practicable after authorization and verification, but they set no fixed number of hours.

Why is there a pending stage at all?

Casinos give two reasons. One is screening: Amazon Slots (Ontario) says requests stay pending up to 72 hours for screening, and Ontario’s standards require the operator to verify that the account holder made the request before paying. The other is the chance to change your mind: during the pending stage at Luxury Casino, Yukon Gold, Amazon Slots and 888casino you can reverse or cancel the request. Jackpot City and Spin Casino in Ontario say they have removed their 48-hour reversal period.

How do weekends change the count?

Most stated times are in business or working days, so weekends and holidays do not count. A request sent to 888casino (Ontario) on a Friday spends its one business day awaiting process on Monday, then takes 1 to 3 business days, so it arrives between Tuesday and Thursday. Times stated in hours, such as bet365’s 1 to 4 hours, are the exception, and even then your bank’s own processing may wait for a business day.

So what does “instant” mean?

Read the sentence it sits in. bet365 (Ontario) lists Apple Pay withdrawals as instant, but also says it aims to process card and bank transfer requests within 2 hours, which is the step before. BetRivers (Ontario) says more than 80% of withdrawal requests are approved in real time, which describes the approval step, and its terms still estimate 3 business days of internal processing. Casino Days (Ontario) advertises fast withdrawals on its home page while its payment page lists Interac at 1 to 3 business days. In each case, the time from request to bank is the sum of two stages, and the advertising usually describes only one.

Our comparison of the fastest casino withdrawals in Canada sets the two stages side by side for 21 casinos and methods.

Why might a request sit longer than stated?

The reasons casinos give are specific:

  • Identity and anti-money-laundering checks are incomplete. Casino Days (Ontario) says a withdrawal may be delayed or cancelled for extra checks.
  • A bonus has wagering left. BetMGM (Ontario) lists unmet wagering criteria as a delay reason.
  • Several requests were merged. BetMGM may combine them into one.
  • Pay-back-to-source rules. Some casinos must first return money to your deposit method; our page on deposit methods that cannot receive withdrawals explains how.
  • Larger amounts. NorthSpin’s terms allow up to 5 business days for an ID review and up to 7 business days for an audit of withdrawals of C$7,500 or more.

Never deposit again to speed up a withdrawal. A new deposit does not change any of these reasons.

What can you do if a withdrawal is stuck?

  1. Check the status label and the stated time for that stage.
  2. Contact support with the request date, amount and method, and ask which stage it is in and what is missing.
  3. Upload any document requested, and keep a copy.
  4. Escalate in the right order. In Ontario, iGaming Ontario says to work with the operator first and obtain a complaint number. It can then take escalated disputes about regulated sites, but it cannot settle bets, refund wagers or award compensation.

What we could not confirm

  • Delivery times after approval at PlayOJO, BetRivers and NorthSpin.
  • What happens during BetMGM’s review, beyond the reasons it lists.

Open your account’s transaction history and note the exact label on the request. If it is still pending or awaiting processing, compare the time since your request with the casino’s stated time for that stage; if it says sent or left the casino, the remaining time belongs to your bank or payment provider.
